In the early days of the Uncle Percy idea it was important to understand and comply with a number of complex legal issues. So when we were introduced to the guys at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, we knew immediately that we had the best team for the job. Uncle Percy represents a completely new way of saving, so we had no previous examples to draw on. The team at Minters rose to the challenge and safely navigated us through a complex maze of legal issues, always erring on the side of best practice, which we like.
Paymark/Flo2Cash
After commencing business in 1989, Paymark quickly achieved its vision of a national real-time payment system. By the year 2000, the Paymark EFTPOS network was well and truly established as a public utility and the company had developed what has arguably become the best EFTPOS system in the world. Now with well over 7 Billion EFTPOS transactions under its belt, Paymark can safely claim to be New Zealand’s leading network for electronic transations. There was no body else we wanted to create our unique electronic payment system at Uncle Percy.
Public Trust
While we are a trustworthy bunch at Uncle Percy, we thought it would be a good idea to get the guys at Public Trust (NZ's largest trustee organisation and a Crown Entity with guaranteed independence) to be the custodian of our user's money. After talking to a number different trust providers, we had a discussion and, once again, decided that the easiest way to select our trustees was to just go with the best.
